151 Israeli Soldiers Died in Service in 2025

151 Israeli soldiers died in service in 2025, including 88 in operational activities and 21 deaths being investigated for suicide.

Jerusalem, 30 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that in 2025, 151 IDF soldiers died while in regular, career and reserve service.

Of these, 88 soldiers were killed in operational activities: three from enemy fire, 15 from illness, 24 in various accidents (of which 17 were civilian road accidents, one was a military road accident, one a weapons accident and five were killed in other accidents.)

An additional 21 deaths were and are being investigated on suspicion of suicide, of which 11 were of conscripts, nine were reserve soldiers and one was a career soldier.
