The Compensation Fund has opened the option to submit applications for a grant to self-employed individuals who served in the reserves under Order 8, for indirect damages in July–August 2025
As of today, self-employed individuals serving in the reserves may submit an application for a grant due to indirect damages caused by reserve service under Order 8, for the months of July–August 2025. Applications can be submitted online via the Israel Tax Authority website or through a link available on the IDF Reserves website.
Applications may be submitted until 31.12.2025, and payment will be made as soon as possible and no later than 14 days from the date of determining eligibility.
National Insurance allowances granted for the eligibility period will not be deducted from the grant amount. For applications requiring an in-depth review by the Tax Authority and the Assistance Fund, the grant amount will be determined within 3 months of the application date.
Eligible for the grant are self-employed individuals who served more than 21 consecutive days under Order 8 for the period beginning either from the start of reserve service or from 1.6.2024 (whichever is later), and throughout the entire eligibility period. The eligibility period consists of the days of active reserve service plus a compensation period calculated in relation to the number of active reserve service days.
A reservist not belonging to a combat unit will be entitled to an additional period at a ratio of one and a half days for each reserve day (Shamap), up to a maximum of 30 days from the end of service. A reservist belonging to a combat unit will be entitled to an additional period at a ratio of one and a half days for each reserve day, up to a maximum of 90 days from the end of service.
A reservist who performed several reserve periods (Shamap) of 21 days or more, with interruptions (and who was not eligible under the first outline), will receive a grant for each reserve period separately.
