The military prosecution has filed an indictment against the terrorist who carried out the attack in which Ido Zoldan, may he rest in peace, was murdered in 2007. The military prosecution in the Judea and Samaria region filed yesterday (Thursday)
Terrorist indicted for 2007 murder of Ido Zoldan; attack planned and executed with partners after PA detention release.
The terrorist was recently released from Palestinian Authority detention, where he had been held until now, and was arrested in the heart of Qalqilya in the Ephraim Brigade on May 26, 2026, in a joint operation by IDF forces, the Shin Bet, and the Gideonim 33 unit. According to the indictment, on November 19, 2007, the defendant joined two additional defendants who formulated a plan to carry out a shooting attack against Jewish settlers on a main road. The defendant traveled with his partners to equip themselves and prepare the vehicle for its execution, and discussed with them how to carry out the shooting and the means to be used. Subsequently, the three went out to look for vehicles driven by Israelis, agreed to verify the victim’s identity as Jewish before carrying out the shooting, and ambushed passing vehicles. After locating the vehicle of Ido Zoldan, may he rest in peace, they approached him in their vehicle, and one of the partners shot at him at close range with the intention of causing his death. As a result of the shooting, Ido Zoldan, may he rest in peace, was killed. After carrying out the attack, the defendant and his partners fled the scene. The indictment attributes to the defendant an offense of causing death intentionally in partnership (the equivalent of murder). The military prosecution is accompanying the Zoldan family, is in continuous contact with them, and grants them all the rights due to them by law. The IDF and the military prosecution share in the deep sorrow of the family.
