In Next School Year Israeli Schools Will Switch to Personalized Learning in English
Starting next school year, Israeli middle schools will implement AI-powered personalized English learning, expanding Project 720 nationwide.
Jerusalem, 11 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Starting next fall in the new school year, all middle schools in Israel will transition to personalized learning in English using artificial intelligence. In effect, Israel’s Ministry of Education is moving from the stage of implementing artificial intelligence to the stage of “broad implementation” in classrooms and expanding Project 720 throughout the country.
Project 720 is the Plan for driving the digital transformation of learning in Israel towards personalized education.
After the program was piloted in 28 schools in 17 local authorities and education networks in the 2016 school year, the initiative will be expanded to 180 middle schools across the country in the upcoming school year. At the same time, following the success of the pilot, the personalized learning model in English studies will be expanded to all middle schools in Israel as part of the “English for All” program.
The expansion of the program, said the Education Ministry, marks the transition from the implementation and pilot phase to the broad implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the learning processes themselves. This is another step in realizing the goal set by the Ministry of Education to make Israel one of the leading countries in the OECD in the field of Artificial intelligence-based education.
