Jerusalem, 15 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Security Council has urged citizens abroad not to attempt returning home via land routes through Jordan or Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, citing severe security threats. Both areas remain under Level 4 travel warnings, meaning travel is banned and those already there should leave immediately.
“There is a real and immediate danger to Israelis in these countries,” the NSC said.
Israeli skies are closed to incoming and outgoing flights amid the country’s state of emergency.
The NSC advised Israelis to wait for Transportation Ministry updates on return options as the situation continues to unfold.
