Jerusalem, 28 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety is continuing to promote road safety in Arab communities. To that end, new traffic sign plans have been completed in 35 communities, and work is underway in 27 additional Arab communities.
This is part of a project that began in 2023, which includes preparing comprehensive traffic sign plans for each locality, placing and replacing traffic signs in accordance with current standards, regulating intersections and rights of way, improving safety in the environment of educational institutions, and addressing risk centers.
In addition, the project includes filling gaps in traffic sign infrastructure, improving guidance on urban routes, and creating a clearer and safer road environment for all road users.
