Jerusalem, 7 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police arrested three suspects who it says planned to carry out terror attacks. The three included a Palestinian Authority police officer and an ISIS member.
At the beginning of the week police operated in the villages of Dura and Deir al-Asal to arrest two terrorist operatives who planned to carry out attacks in the immediate timeframe. During one of the arrests, The forces entered the village covertly and in disguise, carried out a siege on the building where the suspect was located, who, upon understanding the situation, surrendered himself.
The suspect, a Palestinian Authority police officer who, according to suspicion, planned to carry out an attack, was arrested and transferred for further investigation.
In an additional operation, conducted in the Askar refugee camp in Nablus, police forces arrived in the camp area covertly and in disguise, and simultaneously, a deployment of overt forces was carried out that executed a siege on the building where the suspect was located.
The suspect, who had previously been involved in terrorist activity and had even been arrested in the past by security forces, understood that he was surrounded and surrendered himself to the forces.
