Jerusalem, 30 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli authorities arrested a 20-year-old man accused of planning attacks on soldiers on behalf of Islamic State. The case was cleared for publication on Thursday.

The Israel Police and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) said Muhammad Abdel Gani, a resident of the Galilee village of Nahaf, swore allegiance to Islamic State, attempted to acquire a firearm and planned to carry out an attack against soldiers in the nearby town of Karmiel.

During the arrest, officers uncovered posters and other symbols linked to ISIS.

An indictment was filed at Nazareth District Court on Thursday.
