Jerusalem, 1 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — As part of Israel’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s plan to add 1000,000 solar roofs by 2030, it is promoting a plan to remove barriers and reduce costs, and to dramatically shorten the time it takes to build home solar systems, so that the process will last only 30 days instead of up to six months.

Installing a solar system allows roof owners to enjoy additional financial income and consume energy during emergencies, while producing clean electricity for the health of Israeli citizens.

Plan Highlights:

Setting a binding target for establishing a solar system within a maximum of 30 days.
Setting a connection date to the electricity grid in advance.
Eliminating unnecessary requirements and reducing regulatory costs, including eliminating duplication of testing and engineering requirements for small, low-risk systems.
Establishing a single digital platform to manage the entire process.
Creating a fast, uniform and simple setup route for all home systems.
