Jerusalem, 1 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The cornerstone was laid for a new electric bus parking lot for Pardes Hanna Karkur – located north of Tel Aviv – with an investment of approximately 20 million Shekels ($6.65 million).
It will serve as an advanced operational base for 42 electric buses.
The project includes the establishment of advanced charging infrastructure, a dedicated washing facility and a modern driver’s building, and was built from the ground up as a collaboration between the Ministry of Transportation, the local council and Egged.
Upon completion, the fleet of electric buses will replace older diesel buses, thereby contributing to a significant reduction in air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and noise pollution, along with improving the travel experience and quality of service for the traveling public in Pardes Hanna-Karkur and the surrounding area.
