Enforcement and Collection Authority Activity Following Operation “Lion’s Roar” from Sunday 01.03.2026 to Sunday 08.03.2026 (hereinafter: The Emergency Period)

Following Operation "Lion's Roar," Israel's Enforcement and Collection Authority will close offices March 1-8, 2026, converting appointments to phone.

Hello everyone

Following Operation Lion’s Roar, a special state of emergency has been declared from Sunday, March 1, 2026, until Sunday, March 8, 2026 (hereinafter: the emergency period)

Public Reception 

  • All enforcement offices, the fines collection center, and other Authority units will be closed during the emergency period.
  • All appointments scheduled for enforcement offices and the fines collection center will be converted to telephone appointments. Enforcement and Collection Authority employees will call customers at the times when the appointments were scheduled.

Enforcement Offices

Execution of proceedings and summons orders –  Summons and arrest orders, registration and seizure of movable property, vehicle impoundment, and eviction proceedings will not be carried out.

Hearings, settlement meetings, and financial training –  Due to the closure of the offices, hearings before enforcement officers, settlement meetings, and training sessions for proper financial conduct will not take place.

The days Sunday to Thursday – 01.3.2026 to 08.3.2025 will not be counted as days for taking any procedural action, or for any custom, as established by law or determined by a court, registrar, enforcement registrar, or office manager.

Submission of urgent requests 

Requests for taking proceedings can only be submitted if it is an urgent and reasoned request detailing the reasons for its submission in an emergency situation.

The request will be forwarded for the decision of an enforcement registrar. Requests submitted without reasoning and grounds for taking proceedings during the emergency situation will be rejected.

Opening files

During the state of emergency, files cannot be opened for enforcement. Except for:

  • Request to open a judgment for alimony (excluding National Insurance alimony)
  • Request for execution in which the creditor requests to take proceedings before serving a warning
  • Request to open insolvency proceedings 

Files at the Center for Collection of Fines, Fees, and Expenses 

  • In files managed by the Center for Collection of Fines, no proceedings will be taken during the emergency period. 
  • In fine files where the “determining date” for payment falls on one of the days of the emergency period (March 1, 2026 – March 8, 2026), the date will be postponed to the day after the emergency period.
