Home Front Command Commander, Major General Ori Gordin, visited the north of the country earlier this week along with heads of authorities, emergency officials, and additional commanders. During the visit, he toured the Upper Galilee Regional Council, the Kiryat Shmona Municipality, and the Mevo’ot Hermon Regional Council.
The Home Front Command Commander met with local authority leadership, the parent leadership in Kiryat Shmona, held situation assessments, and closely examined the challenges faced by residents of the north.
From the words of the Home Front Command Commander, Major General Ori Gordin, he said: “The continuous connection with the local authorities and our joint work are a central component in our ability to strengthen the residents’ security and provide the most accurate response to the citizen. Personal responsibility, civilian resilience, and adherence to instructions are a significant part of our ability to continue to protect lives alongside the security challenges.”
“We are operating in a complex and changing operational reality, which requires us to learn, improve, and adapt constantly. The Home Front Command continues to operate around the clock with one goal guiding us – saving lives.”
