The 162nd Division continues to deepen its operations in southern Lebanon.

162nd Division expands ground ops in S. Lebanon, destroying tunnels, weapons, and eliminating terrorists.

162nd Division forces continue targeted ground operations to expand the security zone in southern Lebanon. 

As part of the operation, forces from the 401st Brigade Combat Team located a tunnel leading to an underground infrastructure from which a terrorist emerged and was eliminated in a face-to-face engagement. The forces raided the tunnel and found an arsenal of weapons including: explosives, rockets, RPGs, and grenades. In another operation, they destroyed several Hezbollah observation posts where additional weapons were found.

Forces from the 215th Fire Brigade eliminated over 70 terrorists, including a terrorist cell that planned to fire mortars at our forces.

In another incident, forces identified two terrorists entering a building used by Hezbollah. The Air Force struck the building, guided by the forces, and eliminated the terrorists.

In addition, the forces destroyed anti-tank missile launch sites, observation posts, and Hezbollah command centers.

Concurrently, the Nahal Brigade Combat Team located numerous weapons and destroyed dozens of terror infrastructures, including anti-tank missile sites that were targeting the forces operating in the area.
