Shayetet 13 forces located hundreds of weapons in a school in Al-Khiyam in southern Lebanon.

Shayetet 13 found hundreds of weapons, including rockets and mines, hidden in a school in Al-Khiyam, Lebanon, highlighting Hezbollah's use of civilian areas.

As part of the focused ground operation by the Givati Brigade Combat Team to expand the security zone in southern Lebanon, the Shayetet 13 naval commandos conducted a targeted raid based on intelligence information regarding the presence of weapons in a school in the village of Al-Khiam in southern Lebanon, concurrently with the unit’s operations in various arenas at sea and on land.

Hundreds of weapons were found inside the school, including: anti-tank rockets, mortar bombs, grenades, launchers, light weapons, mines, explosive charges, and mine mechanisms.

All this alongside signs of the UN’s UNHCR organization.

Hezbollah systematically embeds terror infrastructure in civilian areas, thereby continuing to endanger the residents of Lebanon. The presence of weapons in the school in Al-Khiam is another example of the planned exploitation of the civilian population to advance Hezbollah’s terror objectives.

Statements from the forces regarding the discovery of weapons in the school in the Al-Khiam area: “In the school area in the center of Al-Khiam, we entered to search the school. Inside the school, findings of terrorist activity were discovered. Here we see a drone, of the type launched at the North, disassembled and broken.”

“Here is the part that flew off, the explosive part, and the propulsion part. There is an anti-tank missile here, many shoulder-fired missiles and ordnance, a mortar, grenades, launchers, small arms. Here you can also see 28 mines, many weapons, you can see two 107mm mortar shells here, quantities of detonating cord, explosive charges, there are mine mechanisms here. We will continue to work to destroy the enemy and protect the residents of the North.”
