Immediately after identification, the IDF attacked and eliminated the armed terrorists to remove the threat. In another incident last night, forces from the 188th Brigade Combat Team eliminated the terrorist Ahmed Faiz Salem Abu Rida, a terrorist who systematically violated the terms of the agreement, including by crossing the yellow line multiple times, transferring funds to suspects for terrorist activity, and posing a threat to IDF forces. The terrorist was arrested during the war due to his involvement in terrorist activity and was released as part of Operation ‘Wings of Freedom’. IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
