IDF operates south of defense line, finds weapons in Lebanon
IDF forces found weapons, including RPGs and sniper rifles, in Hezbollah structures during operations in southern Lebanon.
During an operation to destroy terror infrastructure in the Al-Hiam village area, combatants from the 769th Brigade Combat Team, operating under the 91st Division, searched a structure used by the Hezbollah terror organization and located weapons, observation equipment, an RPG launcher, ammunition, and a flag of the Hezbollah terror organization. In the Beit Leif area, Nahal Brigade combatants operating under the command of the 146th Division searched structures used by the Hezbollah terror organization and located within them an RPG launcher, sniper rifles, and additional weaponry. During an operation by Golani Reconnaissance Unit forces in the Adshit al-Qusayr area, drones and warheads, military equipment, ammunition crates, magazines, and Kalashnikov rifles were located. In another operation by the brigade in the Al-Tayba area, rockets and an RPG launcher, an explosive device activation kit, grenades, and ammunition were located. The located weaponry was intended for use in terror operations by the organization’s operatives against IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel.
