Home Front Command expands defense policy March 22, 2026, changing activity levels in multiple regions across Israel.

Starting Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 06:00, the Home Front Command’s defense policy, which divides the country’s regions differentially, will be expanded. Until that time, the defense policy will remain unchanged.

Here are the details of the policy changes and defense guidelines that will take effect on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 06:00:

Guidance Zones:

Southern Golan (excluding Katzrin and Kadmat Tzvi), Lower Galilee, Carmel (excluding Daliyat al-Karmel and Usfiya), Wadi Ara, Menashe (excluding Or Akiva, Hadera, Jisr az-Zarqa, and some communities in the Hof HaCarmel Regional Council), Judean Foothills (excluding Beit Shemesh), Lachish (excluding Ashdod, Bnei Ayish, Gan Yavne, Yavne, Gedera, some communities in the Gan Raveh Regional Council belonging to this zone, some communities in the Brenner Regional Council belonging to this zone, all communities in the Gederot Regional Council, and the communities of Beit Gamaliel, Ben Zakai, and Tzofiya of the Hevel Yavne Regional Council), and Central Negev (excluding Be’er Sheva and Omer) – transition from a limited activity level to a partial activity level.

Here are the details of the guidelines in the aforementioned areas:

Educational activities – Educational activities can be held in a location from which it is possible to reach a standard protected space during a defense situation.
Gatherings – Up to 50 people in an open area, and up to 100 people in a building in a location from which it is possible to reach a standard protected space during a defense situation.
Workplaces – Activities can be held in a location from which it is possible to reach a standard protected space during a defense situation.

The rest of the country’s regions remain unchanged.

The policy will be in effect until Monday, March 23, at 20:00.
