Since the start of the campaign against Hezbollah, the Air Force has attacked over 2,000 targets in support of ground forces in southern Lebanon,
using fighter jets, attack helicopters, and remotely piloted aircraft.
Control centers and Air Force crews are in direct contact with the fighting forces and accompany the combat in the various sectors, directing the forces in the field and neutralizing threats with rapid kill chains, sometimes at a distance of a few meters from the forces.
As part of deepening inter-branch cooperation, the Commander of the Air Force, Major General Tomer Bar, held a situation assessment at the Northern Command, together with the Commander of the Command, Major General Rafi Milo.
The commanders discussed plans for the future, and Air Force commanders received an updated operational picture of the forces in the field and the operational needs for the continuation of the operation.
