The IDF attacked yesterday (Tuesday) in the southern Gaza Strip and eliminated Husam Shafei, a terrorist in the eastern Khan Yunis battalion of Hamas’s military wing.
During the October 7th massacre, Shafei raided Kibbutz Nir Am and participated in the abduction of Colonel Assaf Hamami z”l, Sergeant Major Tomer Ahimas z”l, and Sergeant Kiril Brodsky z”l, who fell in battle at the kibbutz.
The elimination of the terrorist represents an important full circle and was made possible by intelligence gathering and directing the strike by the Gaza Division’s (143) Fire Center. Under the division fought Colonel Assaf Hamami z”l, as commander of the Southern Brigade, and Sergeant Major Tomer Ahimas z”l and Sergeant Kiril Brodsky z”l as fighters in his command post.
Throughout the war and in recent times, the terrorist promoted terror plots and posed a threat to our forces operating in the Gaza Strip.
