Across The Board Increases in April Price Indexes
Israel's Input Price Index saw across-the-board increases in April 2026, with significant jumps in bus fares, construction, and agriculture.
Jerusalem, 17 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the data on the “Input Price Index” for April-2026, which showed increases in all sectors, an indicator of inflation.
(An Input Price Index (IPI) measures the average change over time in the purchase prices of raw materials, auxiliary materials, and services used by an industry.)
April 2026:
1.1% increase in the residential construction input price index April 2026
1.0% increase in the commercial and office construction input price index April 2026
2.5% increase in the paving and bridging input price index April 2026
1.9% increase in the agricultural input price index April 2026
6.2% increase in the bus input price index for the entire population April 2026
5.8% increase in the fixed-route bus input price index April 2026
5.4% increase in the minibus input price index April 2026
