Jerusalem, 23 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Defense Ministry has placed multi-year orders worth more than $200 million with Elbit Systems for aerial munitions, as part of efforts to boost combat readiness and expand domestic production capabilities.

The procurement, led by the ministry’s Defense Procurement Directorate, will see the munitions manufactured at facilities across Israel.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said the move strengthens Israel’s ability to operate independently.
