The Central Unit of the Tel Aviv District has solved the incident of a fragmentation grenade being thrown at the “Japanika” business in Kiryat Ono – a statement of claim has been filed against two suspects.

During the investigation, investigators managed to trace the perpetrators and identify them, despite their attempt to cover their tracks. On July 16, an 18-year-old suspect, a resident of Bat Yam, was arrested, and a few days later, another suspect, a 22-year-old resident of Bat Yam, was arrested. Searches were conducted in the homes of the two, and findings and clothing items linking them to the commission of the offense were seized. The arrest of the two was extended from time to time, and yesterday, at the end of the investigation, statements of claim were filed against them in preparation for the filing of a serious indictment for the offenses attributed to them.
