Police officers from the Judea and Samaria District thwarted the entry of seven residents of Judea and Samaria without permits into the country. Last night, a report was received regarding an incident of assault and vehicle theft at a gas station near Highway 443.

Officers from the Modi’in Illit station, who were dispatched to the scene, met with the complainant, who stated that he was attacked by several suspects who threw stones at him, assaulted him violently, stole his vehicle, and fled. The officers traced the identity of the main suspect, and he was arrested at the Maccabim crossing. During the vehicle inspection, it was discovered that the suspect was transporting two illegal residents, who were located hiding in the trunk. The suspect (East Jerusalem, in his 20s) was arrested, along with the two illegal residents. In another incident, five illegal residents were arrested at the Maccabim crossing, hiding under the rear car seat and in the trunk. The driver (Nes Ziona, in his 30s) was taken for investigation along with the five illegal residents.
