Jerusalem, 30 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A widespread communications disruption affected multiple Israeli service providers in recent hours, prompting close monitoring by security and technology officials. Technical sources reported simultaneous outages on Cellcom and Partner networks, alongside disruptions to additional services not tied to a single provider, indicating a large-scale infrastructure event rather than a localized malfunction.

Preliminary checks point to problems at the DNS layer, including a malfunction in a Cisco forwarder. Adjustments in data centers partially restored access to some services, such as Microsoft Azure, while others remained unaffected. Additional issues were reported across broadband, mobile networks, streaming platforms, payment systems and public transportation services.

There is currently no official confirmation of a cyberattack.
