Jerusalem, 31 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck a weapons storage facility at a coastal port in Syria today.
An statement bythe IDF said: “A short time ago, the IDF struck weapon storage facilities in the Latakia area of Syria using fighter jets. These facilities contained coastal missiles that posed a threat to international and Israeli maritime freedom of navigation.
“In addition, surface-to-air missile components were also struck in the Latakia area.
“The IDF will continue to act to maintain freedom of operation in the region in order to fulfil its missions and will work to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel and its citizens.”
