Jerusalem, 13 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the Consumer Confidence Index for June 2025 stood at -27%.
There was a change in one of the four balance sheets that make up the index:
The balance sheet relating to individuals’ intentions for large purchases in the coming year compared to the past year, it has dropped to -39% (from a value of -30%).
The relative consumer confidence index stands at 49.
The consumer confidence index is bounded in the range between minus 100 and plus 100. The closer the index value is to the positive limit the more it indicates greater optimism among individuals, and the closer the value of the index is to the negative limit it indicates greater pessimism.
An index close to zero indicates a lack of expectations for a change in the situation.
The methodology of the survey complies with the guidelines of the OECD organization for surveys of this type.
