Israeli Tax Authority Cracks Down on Tax Evaders, Seizes 146 Vehicles

Jerusalem, 10 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Tax Authority launched a nationwide operation to collect unpaid taxes and crack down on illegal activity. The Authority said it has collected more than NIS 200 million ($57 million) and seized 146 vehicles from people who did not pay their taxes.

In addition, more than 2,400 businesses were inspected. Special focus was placed on garages and auto parts shops, where many were caught hiding income. In one case, a garage had over NIS 300,000 ($85,000) in unrecorded payments. Business owners were summoned for questioning, and some may face charges.
