Jerusalem, 25 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The validity of the free public transportation benefit for residents who were evacuated from their homes in the areas near Lebanon and Gaza due to security concerns was extended by an additional two months, until February 25, 2026.

The benefit allows evacuees free and unlimited travel on all public transportation lines throughout the country, buses, light rail and Israel Railways using a Rav-Kav card, and is intended to make it easier for those who have lost their homes and property and to allow full freedom of movement from their temporary place of residence to workplaces, educational institutions, medical services and service centers.

The benefit is given to evacuees who have not yet returned to their homes and are approved by the local authority and the national digital system.
