Israel Air Forces Intercepts Suspicious Air Target
The Israel Air Force intercepted a suspicious air target near IDF forces in southern Lebanon overnight, with no casualties reported from subsequent Hezbollah.
Jerusalem, 6 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that overnight, the Israel Air Force intercepted what it described as a “suspicious air target” that was identified in the area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon.
Early Wednesday morning, an interceptor was launched at another air target with which contact was lost. According to policy, no alerts were activated.
Also, in several incidents in recent hours, Hezbollah launched a number of rockets, explosive drones, and mortar bombs that fell near Israeli Forces. There were no casualties among them.
