Jerusalem, 14 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A short while ago, based on what police called “precise intelligence guidance” from the Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service), undercover Border Police officers from The Jerusalem unit operated to arrest a wanted suspect who, according to suspicions, planned to carry out a terrorist attack during the Jerusalem Day events.

Upon receiving the information about the suspect, an undercover force from the Jerusalem Border Police was dispatched to the Abu Tor neighborhood where targeted operational activities were conducted that led to the location of the wanted man while he was at a car wash facility. The undercover force, which operated covertly, located the suspect and arrested him for further Shin Bet investigation.
