Two Israelis Who Crossed Border Into Lebanon Returned to Israel

Two Israelis crossed the border fence into Lebanon near Yaroun on Thursday, were detained by the IDF, and returned to Israel, facing police transfer.

Jerusalem, 12 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Earlier today, Thursday, IDF (Israel Defense Forces) lookouts identified a gathering of approximately 20 Israeli civilians in the border area of the State of Israel with Lebanon. During the gathering, two suspects crossed the border fence in the area of Yaroun.

IDF forces detained the suspects and returned them to the territory of the State of Israel. They were transferred to the Israel Police.

The IDF said it “strongly condemns the incident and emphasizes that this is a serious event that constitutes a criminal offense, endangering civilians and IDF forces.”
