At Least 12 People Wounded in Missile Strike on Negev Town of Arad

A missile attack struck the Negev town of Arad Saturday night, wounding at least 12 people, including a seriously injured 5-year-old girl.

Jerusalem, 21 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The city of Arad in the Negev, located to the west of the Dead Sea, suffered a hit from a missile attack Saturday night. It is not yet clear whether there was a direct hit, or if the city suffered a hit from fragments of a missile that was shot down. In either event, many people were wounded.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that its medics are currently providing aid to a large number of injured people, including: a 5-year-old girl in serious condition, 11 injured people in moderate condition, and several other injured people in light condition.

MDA teams are treating additional injured people at the scene. Large MDA teams, including MDA helicopters, are on their way to the scene. Update to follow.
