The purpose of the move is to allow the public additional preparation time before receiving a warning. The preliminary instruction will be distributed via the Home Front Command app, the Home Front Command’s Personal Message platform (CB), the National Emergency Portal, and the Home Front Command’s Telegram channels. The preparation time provided by the preliminary instruction for this threat will be relatively short and will vary depending on the distance from the source of fire: * On the confrontation line – a few seconds before the warning is activated. * In the northern region – up to about a minute before the warning is activated. * In the rest of the country – up to about two minutes before the warning is activated. Upon receiving a preliminary instruction about fire from Lebanon, one must approach a protected area, so that at the time the warning is activated, it will be possible to enter it according to the defense time in your area. It should be emphasized that there will be cases where a warning will be activated without a preliminary instruction. Likewise, there may be cases where a preliminary instruction is received but no warning (siren) is activated. The Home Front Command will continue to examine and improve its warning capabilities for citizens, with the aim of providing the public with additional time to reach a protected area safely, wherever this is possible.
