200 Gazans Evacuated for Medical Care, More Transfers Planned

Approximately 200 Gazan patients and escorts were evacuated to Jordan for medical care on Monday, with further transfers being coordinated.

Jerusalem, 28 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Approximately 200 Palestinian medical patients and their escorts were evacuated from Gaza to Jordan for treatment on Monday, Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) announced.

“We are working with our international partners to coordinate additional medical evacuations via Kerem Shalom and Ramon International Airport,” COGAT added.

Meanwhile, the Rafah crossing with Egypt remains operational. According to COGAT, to date, roughly 1,800 people have entered, and the same number have exited Gaza via that crossing.
