Jerusalem, 27 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the data from the Labor Force Survey for April 2026, which generally showed little change from March.
Seasonally adjusted data for April 2026 (compared to March 2026, among those aged 15 and over):
Percentage of the labor force – 62.0% (61.9% in March).
employment rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) – 60.2% (unchanged compared to the previous month).
Percentage of unemployed in the labor force – 2.9% (2.8% in March).
Percentage of people aged 25-64 in the labor force – 81.1% (81.0% in March).
Employment rate among those aged 25-64 – 78.9% (79.0% in March).
The percentage of unemployed people in the labor force among those aged 25-64 – 2.6% (2.5% in March).
The percentage of employed people who generally work full-time, out of all employed people – 78.5% (79.4% in March).
