Israel Sees More Than 50% Increase in Foreign Tourists in January

Israel saw a 50%+ surge in foreign tourists in January 2026, with 124,700 visitors, a significant rebound after the Gaza war ended. US visitors led arrivals.

Jerusalem, 5 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel had 124,700 visitors in January 2026, after the end of the Gaza war, more than 50% over the January 2025 total of 80,000.

Of these, 120,000 were tourists, compared to just 78,800 in January 2025, also an increase of more than 50%.

In January, 36.7% of visitor arrivals were from the United States, 7.6% from France, 6.1% from the United Kingdom, and 5.9% from Russia.
