Israel Bars Spanish Journalist From Entering Country Citing Boycott Activity
Israel barred Spanish journalist Queralt Castillo Cerezuela from entering, citing her support for the BDS movement and accusations against the state.
> 🇮🇱🇦🇷”>Jerusalem, 30 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel barred Spanish journalist Queralt Castillo Cerezuela from entering the country after authorities cited her public activity in support of the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions campaign and comments accusing Israel of “genocide” and calling for the end of “the Zionist regime.”
Castillo Cerezuela was also denied eligibility for media credentials from the Government Press Office.
The 30-year-old freelance journalist is currently based in Athens.
