Following various publications regarding an incident where an individual wearing a kippah with a Palestinian flag was detained in the city of Modi’in, we clarify that the individual who was brought to the police station was neither interrogated nor arrested. On 20.4.26, after a report was received at the police hotline about a person sitting in a business establishment in the city wearing a kippah with a Palestinian flag on it, Modi’in station officers arrived at the scene shortly thereafter to investigate and handle the report. During the handling of the report, he was detained and brought to the police station, and after clarification, he was released. As a complaint has been filed with the Police Internal Investigations Department, we are unable to provide further details at this stage.
