47 Illegal Residents Found in Tel Aviv to Be Deported

Israel's Population and Immigration Authority apprehended 47 illegal residents in Tel Aviv, commencing deportation procedures for those found in violation of.

Jerusalem, 24 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In a nighttime enforcement activity carried out in Tel Aviv by Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority, 47 illegal residents were detained.

The operation, which was intended to locate illegal residents and enforce immigration laws, was carried out under the leadership of the Tel Aviv region of the Enforcement and Foreigners Administration, and in cooperation with the police.

All of the illegal residents were transferred for further processing in the Tel Aviv and central regions for a hearing and examination of their case.

The detainees will later be transferred to the Givon detention facility in order to advance the procedures for their deportation from Israel.

The Population and Immigration Authority said it will “continue to act with determination and consistency to locate illegal residents and enforce immigration laws, in order to maintain the rule of law and public order.”
