Jerusalem, 16 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A delegation from the Ukrainian police under the authority of the Ukrainian Chief of Police, Superintendent Alexander Patsevich, is currently in Israel on an official working visit.

Yesterday (Thursday), the delegation arrived at Mount Meron in northern Israel to closely monitor the Israel Police’s preparations for the significant event held there at the grave of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai – RASHBI – in celebration of the Lag Baomer holiday.

Lag Baomer is also the anniversary of this Talmudic sage’s death.

The Israel Police explained that the importance of the visit stems from the fact that every year on Rosh Hashanah, the city of Uman in Ukraine prepares for the arrival of masses of Israelis who visit the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.

The purpose of the visit is to study and closely examine the preparations of the Israel Police for a significant event with masses of participants.
