Plan for Reconstruction for Damage Caused During Iran Conflict Moves Forward

Jerusalem, 10 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Government ministries have agreed to promote an agreed-upon outline for the rehabilitation of residential areas through urban renewal in places damaged by missile fire from Iran as part of June’s Operation “Rising Lion.”

As part of the conclusions of the inter-ministerial team established for the matter, legal barriers and delays that mainly concerned property issues were removed, so that the government can proceed with the rehabilitation of the places and promote renewal that will benefit the residents, the region, and the city as a whole.

A legal memorandum will be published in the coming days that will enable the rehabilitation and renewal process.

A ministerial team determined that the local authorities will lead the rehabilitation process while receiving planning powers from a district committee in the damaged areas, as well as additional resources to promote the projects.
