Jerusalem, 17 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Ministry’s Families, Commemoration and Heritage Division is spearheading a groundbreaking project to preserve national memory in the digital age. This week, a professional workshop at the National Library in Jerusalem laid the conceptual foundation for a digital national memorial hall, aimed at making Israel’s history and the legacy of its fallen soldiers accessible worldwide.

The project will operate from the National Memorial Hall on Mount Herzl.

“This is a historic opportunity to make the story of Israel’s fallen soldiers accessible to future generations, while combining innovative thinking and advanced technologies. We are committed to leading a national movement that respects the past and looks to the future, said the ministry’s Deputy Director General Aryeh Mualem.
