Business Owners Who Perform Military Reserve Duty to Get Grants

Jerusalem, 14 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Economy announced that it will lead an assistance program for business owners, including women, who serve in the military reserves in the amount of 10 million Shekels ($2.81 million)

“Business owners who serve in the reserves are not only fighting on the ground – but also for their livelihoods,” said Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat. “The Israeli government today approved a broad-based program, in which the Ministry of Economy and Industry will lead a program to support small businesses whose owners serve in the active reserves.”

“The mobilization of women and reservists and their families, since the October 7th until today, is inspiring – now it is our turn to mobilize for them,” he added. “Whoever sacrifices his livelihood for the security of the state, the state is obligated to accompany him in dealing with the consequences and not leave him alone.”
