Jerusalem, 7 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — An Israeli airstrike eliminated a senior Hamas commander in Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces said on Wednesday.

Khalid Ahmad Ahmad, who served as the head of operations in Hamas’ Western Brigade in Lebanon, was killed in the coastal city of Sidon.

“Throughout the war, the terrorist advanced numerous terror attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops. Recently, he operated to smuggle weapons and carry out terror attacks against the state of Israel,” the IDF said. “Ahmad’s terrorist activity posed a threat to the State of Israel and its citizens.”
