Jerusalem, 8 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s longest bicycle singletrack, the Yahel-Timna track, officially opened, offering more than 100 km of continuous off-road riding in the Southern Arava region. The track was built with an investment of around NIS 20 million ($6.22 million) by the Tourism Ministry and the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael – Jewish National Fund.

The track links Yotvata to Timna Park, enhancing the region’s 350 km network of cycling trails. The area’s dry terrain, mild winter climate, and desert landscapes make it a popular destination for cycling.

The launch coincided with the annual Southern Arava Bicycle Conference, organized by the Eilat Economic Development Corporation, where dozens of cyclists took part in the inaugural ride.
