Jerusalem, 5 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety and the Cross-Israel Transportation Company have issued a tender to establish the Pilots Integrated Transportation Center, a new strategic transportation hub in the heart of the Greater Tel Aviv area, with an investment estimated at more than NIS 250 million ($80.4 million).
The complex will be built near the future intersection of highways 40 and 46 and is slated to open by the end of 2028. Plans include a public transportation terminal with about 180 electric bus stations, a 1,200-space park-and-ride facility, and a direct connection to the Purple Line light rail.
The hub is designed to integrate buses, light rail, private vehicles, and pedestrian access.
