Israeli Public Warned of Increased Cyber Threats During Iran Conflict
Israel's National Cyber Directorate alerts the public to heightened cyber threats from hostile elements, including disinformation via text and social media.
Jerusalem, 5 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Cyber Directorate reminded the public that, during this period, attempts to influence the digital space by hostile elements may increase – through the dissemination of false information, messages of intimidation, predictions, and announcements aimed at undermining trust, increasing pressure, and creating confusion.
The main expected distribution methods are text messages – with or without links – calls and messages impersonating familiar entities such as news channels and the Home Front Command, as well as distribution in WhatsApp, Telegram groups and social networks.
