Massive Law Enforcement Raid Raid on Palestinian Village Sees 11 Arrests, 13 Stolen Vehicles Recovered

Israeli forces conducted a massive raid on Azzun village, arresting 11 suspects and recovering 13 stolen vehicles following attacks on Route 55.

Jerusalem, 17 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Following the recent spate of stone-throwing attacks from the village of Azzun near Qalqilya towards Route 55, on which Israeli civilians who were traveling on the route were injured, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and other Israeli security forces decided to launch a targeted suppression operation in the village.

Last night, Monday, Border Police, regular police IDF units raided of Azzun as part of what the Israel Police described as a “large-scale suppression operation.”

During the operation, 11 suspects were arrested and detained for questioning for various offenses, who were transferred for further investigation to the Central Border Police Headquarters and the judea and samaria Border Police Headquarters.

In addition, a “targeted enforcement” in the area was conducted during which 42 traffic reports were recorded for various offenses, eight driver’s license revocations were carried out, seven vehicles were taken off the road, along with numerous vehicles that were found to be out of order or dangerous to road users.

Also, thirteen stolen vehicles were recovered when the forces raided several lots and garages in the village following intelligence information and a case investigated by the Central Border Police Headquarters regarding multiple incidents of theft of vehicles from Israeli towns located both near the separation fence and in central Israel.
