Israel Forces Strike Underground Ammunition Depots and Hezbollah Terror Organization Headquarters in Beirut
The IDF has targeted Hezbollah's underground ammunition depots and headquarters in Beirut, stating the sites were used for terror plots and intelligence.
Jerusalem, 4 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) said that, over the past day, it completed another wave of strikes against infrastructure of the Hezbollah terror organization in Beirut.
An underground weapons depot and headquarters used by Hezbollah were targeted.
In addition, a site used by Hezbollah as terror infrastructure for carrying out terror acts and intelligence gathering, and which also served the organization for propaganda purposes, was targeted.
The targeted infrastructure was intended to serve the Hezbollah terror organization to advance and execute various terror plots against IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel, explained the IDF.
Prior to the strike, steps were taken to reduce the chance of harm to civilians, including advance warnings, use of precision munitions, and aerial observations.
The IDF said it is “acting forcefully against the decision of the Hezbollah terror organization to join the campaign and operate under the auspices of the Iranian terror regime, and will not allow harm to civilians of the State of Israel.”
