Israel Faced Attacks From Three Fronts today
Israel faced attacks from Iran, Yemen, and Lebanon today, resulting in one death, 11 wounded, and damage to homes and a synagogue.
Jerusalem, 28 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel faced attacks from three separate fronts today — Iran, Yemen, and Lebanon. The assaults resulted in one death, at least 11 people lightly wounded, and damage caused to homes, a synagogue, and other infrastructure.
Shortly after midnight, an Iranian ballistic missile struck central Israel, hitting Tel Aviv and killing a 52-year-old security guard on Yehuda Halevi Street. Israeli media and other regional reports said several other people were wounded in the same strike.
On Saturday morning, Yemen’s Houthis launched their first confirmed attack on Israel since the start of the current war in February. The missile was fired toward southern Israel, triggering sirens in the Beersheba area, but was intercepted, with no casualties or damage reported.
Almost in parallel, a new Iranian salvo aimed at southern Israel was intercepted without causing casualties or damage. Later, another Iranian missile impacted an open area in the Negev, also without causing injuries.
The most serious strike of the day after the Tel Aviv attack came in the afternoon in the Eshtaol area near Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem. At least 11 people were lightly wounded in the Iranian missile impact, while several homes, a synagogue, and a parking area sustained damage. Israeli media described a wide blast radius and significant destruction in the area.
By late afternoon, another attack was recorded from Lebanon: one Hezbollah drone was intercepted by Israeli air defenses, while a second fell in an open area in northern Israel, without causing injuries.
